I previously purchased gift cards from Canadian Tire (Old Navy 20% off GC) and CT eMoney wasn't awarded. Both store customer service and CT hotline informed GC don't qualify for the loyalty programs. Does anyone have any newer (and better) information?

If you're interested in the 20% discounted Mark's gift cards, their shopping site does not allow use of Mark's gift cards; they can only be used in-store.

Most stores do not give points on the discount gift cards (or even full price ones), I don't think I got any eCT money when I bought David's Tea ones there. But you buy them discounted to use on event days like 20x at Mark's

At minimum, we can use a high loyalty return credit card to purchase the discounted gift cards.

I am pleased Loblaws's PC Optimum still rewards points gift card purchases, with their credit card (1pts/3pts per $1 spent depending on your credit card features) at Loblaws owned stores.
