Ya I disapprove the captchas too. What do you mean by you have to pay attention?

GRRR! I just did it now actually. I was doing something else on the last round of SBTV and it was only a few seconds, but the Captcha timed out and I didn't get my points. That is so irritating! I have to be super vigilant on the last round or I lose out, but I do SBTV while doing other things, so if the captcha times out, I don't get my points.

When I first got my Paderno someone else in the house decided to use first ... and make fried eggs with butter (nothing I would cook ... heart attack in a pan! lol)
and the eggs stuck and I finally had to phone Paderno to see what the heck ... turns out the pans don't like egg white or butter, loves to stick to the pans.
Used baking soda to clean the bottom of pan so won't scratch. Came clean but the bottom of pan darken. Paderno offered to replace, but yea know its a good reminder to someone not to use eggs and butter in MY pans! lol

I make eggs in mine all the time with no problem. I usually spray with Pam first though.

Ah - so true -- our frying pan looks "unused" because it's basically sat in the cupboard. We use non-stick or a well treated cast iron.

I spent most of my Amazon account on new kitchen stuff when I moved and got a Paderno set, I LOVE the pots but ended up buying a Tfal pan because everything stuck to the frying pan, the pots don't though - not sure what the difference in but they are easy to clean and maintain

Oddly enough, my girlfriend doesn't have captcha while doing SBTV but I still do. I guess they do some kind of rotation thingy. I don't really know if thats what really happens tho

I have the Paderno set as well and haven't had a problem with eggs sticking. As long as you don't put the heat above 7 I find that nothing sticks to them.

That can't be a good pan if it can't handle eggs or butter, especially on first use. I would understand if the pan was old and scratched, but not new. Two of the biggest cooking items. I would go insane if I had a pan like that!

I'm not a fan of non-stick coatings, too easy to scratch. Besides, it's pretty toxic stuff to produce. I have a nice Paderno set I got for a wedding gift, it's great. I don't find stuff sticks in the frying pan if you have the heat on high enough. Of course you do have to add oil or Pam or something to it if it's not a non-stick pan.

thanks for all the info on paderno everyone! after reading all your raves about them, i had to order a set! got the Paderno 10-piece Artistry Cookware Set, at $189.40, original price $599.99!! i only paid $6 out of pocket and i'm so excited to get these!

and zonny, i agree, nonstick can be a little finicky, and there's research that aluminum can get into your food - which may or may not attribute to alzheimers (which runs on both sides of my family! boo!). but anodized aluminum gets treated in a way that it shouldn't ever leak! so i'm crossing my fingers!

anyways, thanks again everyone! i'll let u know how i like both the Calphalon and Padermo!

Sometimes you have to enter Captchas before you can be credited once you fill the meter. If you're not quick enough the Captcha "times out" and you will not get credit for those videos.
