So I can get $500 Cash with my Aeroplan miles through points.com/paypal. This would cost me 71,566 miles. If I redeemed right through the Aeroplan website I can get $500 in Gift cards for 65,000. SO a difference of 6,566. This difference is equal to a $50 Gift card. If I were to redeem for Gift Cards it would be for Grocery and Gas to cut my expenditures. But the cash sounds good, which I can just put onto my debt (Student line of credit). What would you guys do. Would you get the cash or the Gift cards?

If you choose to redeem for grocery store and gas store gift cards, you can put your regular earnings toward reducing your student debt.

Thanks for your responses. I think when I found out about the cash offer it was an "ooo" moment, something that I would see a lot faster on the debt than the gift cards. But the gift cards are the logical choice. $50 is a big difference.
I redeemed so far for 2 $50 M&M meats and $100 SportsCheck (I need new shoes) so far.Join Gift Hulk with me! http://www.gifthulk.com/?ref=27721
