@Natalka forced frugality is not much fun. Hopefully the time in the hospital puts you on the road to better health. @giseledta just today the younger son asked for the rotisserie chicken to be on the menu next week. I am really cutting back this month but will use air miles or PCO because they are quick for busy days and everyone likes it.
I should make a habit of going to Costco at 4pm on a Thursday. I was in and out in 20 minutes and bought just what I went in for. The younger son had a slice of pizza so it meant dinner became a whole lot easier.

Well I just got back from shopping at Walmart I did get overage on my candles.
PM with Seasons for $1.99 large Glade Candles and had $3.00 coupon. Got lots of the Glade Candles not sure what I will do with the candles as yet. With my overage I got the following
4 package of the 450g Cracker Barrel old fort Cheese
1bag of the 4l milk
1 pk Romaine Hearts
1 bag potatoes
My total in overage was $26.00
For this shop was not sure the PM would work since the candl
es does not have a size but the CSM went with the Picture and it was the large Candles and these sells for $7.98-$9.98 the kinds I took. Also the CSM took out the full value of the coupons. So happy me

I went to the doctor today and prescribed Epi-pen to my very severe reaction to pineapple I had the last time I went to the ER over my throat closing up and visible hives around my mouth. I been allergic since I was a kid just over the last several years it has gotten worse. Multiple instances of landing in the ER with first hives which I know I would get but later sitting and probably itching them then touching my face well throat closing up ordeal. Then a fluke time kissing someone who just ate pineapple well good thing they were there call for ambulance.
I forgot to ask about my toes at his office as he had ushered me out the door. They been hurting since Tuesday and they were red and inflamed. It’s not that I forgot he got to talking and asking multiple questions. He’s also sending me for blood work that I don’t need to fast.
I need to go and complain about the dropping of furniture above. something I don’t like doing but to be awoken from a nap then from my nightly sleep. Running on fumes is not fun.
I haven’t gone shopping since Tuesday but I didn’t spend my money either. Speaking of money I have like $1. My goal of not letting people use me as a doormat when I asked nicely to borrow money from that so called friend they said no they turned around today to ask me to get them something nicely I said no. Since it involved money too so no.

Good morning all.
It’s pretty cold out today so dress warm if you need to go out.
Was hoping to Do the Blue Friday at Sobeys today for the Barilla Ready to eat Pasta since I have the $1.00 coupon whic will make it free and a money maker. If the Flyer ad is correct. Would make a great donation. But since I don’t drive and Sobeys is way out of my area don’t want to take the bus in this Weather. If anyone go for the Pasta deal please post if the $2.00 price is correct and if it comes with the 50 AM wub2. Thanks.
Just finish Laundry and since the heater will be working nonstop it’s hanging to dry

We are stopped for a break at Tim Horton’s with free wifi. We are 3hrs into our drive. We’ll hit the road soon for another 2hr drive in order to reach the airport. Evening flight to Cuba and arrive around 11pm at the resort. Good thing there is a 24hr snack bar, so we can eat once we arrive. I think the flight should be good. I’ve packed snacks, activities, and blankets for our kids. We saved $200 by doing our own seat selection early this morning. We will pay for some internet use in Cuba on the last day to pick our seats for the flight home.

I did all my clothes laundry and too tired to do my sheets and towels which is a load by itself. I was awoken my thumping and disturbing sounds at 3:30am I couldn’t let it go and called down to front desk. He came up right away and heard the exactly the same thing I did. But said he heard nothing when he got to third. He said he would bang on their door anyway and tell them to keep quiet. Fact is the noise got louder then got quiet at 6:30am. By that time I was already sorting my laundry to go downstairs to do it.
I decided to go downstairs and do it anyway before anyone was around to disturb my 3 washers full and 3 dryers full routine.
I so want to go back to bed but someone gave me money to buy food. They want some wonderful meal tonight that’s what they said and it’s up to my discretion. I aim to please when it comes to my food style. I suppose they know I am good cook already.i was told whatever was left over I was allowed to keep.
I have a small amount of credits left on my laundry card about 5 or 6. Which gets me 2-3 washes and 2-3 dryers. And $5 gets 10 credits or 10$ gets 20 credits and 20$ gets 40 credits. I really need more then that to survive the month.
I came back up and apparently the noise is still going on I am going to loose it soon I am sick of it right above my bed too.
On another note it suppose to be a high of 12C today and it’s sunny outside. I don’t know what kind of temperature it is outside. Barilla pasta is on sale in my no frills flyer for 2/$1.88.

Yesterday I returned my $69.99 item at Costco. Long line up for returns in Burlington. Than I proceeded to look around and got a free tide pod sample and had lunch - hot dog and pop for $1.60 and I left. It was the cheapest visit to Costco.
Today is cold but sunny, so perfect day to attack my clutter that I have been procrastinating about for months. Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Evening Everyone,
I worked from home today as I am working on a mass upload/download. I can do the upload during work hours but the download has to be done when we are closed but you have to stay connected the system the whole time so instead of having to stay in the office I can be at home.
When I took a break today I look my groceries from the other day down to the basement as I bought a few things for our stockpile. The Garden Cocktail has been put away and I sorted the Broths by date will have to go back down later to put them away.
Tonight's dinner is leftovers from last night since I was on my own for dinner I ended up with way too much food. As well I made myself a side salad. We bought one of those Mixed Green Salad mixes from Costco, normally we do not buy them as I feel I can get a better deal on Iceberg or Romaine but decided to grab one. I have to admit after opening it tonight I am shocked at how much lettuce is crammed into that container, I might actually start buying them more often.
I will admit I really did not feel like doing dishes but when I was putting dinner in the oven I decided to clean the few dishes we had so I will not wake up to dirty dishes tomorrow. It was like ah there aren't that many I can just do them tomorrow but then I was like but then I get to do dishes in the morning so I just did the dishes they are done and I am happy.
There are a few projects around the house I would like to tackle this weekend but we will wait to see how I feel tomorrow. Although I have struggled all week I made it through but today the headache seems to be back above my eye, hoping it is gone tomorrow.
Going to go have my dinner and maybe have a nice cup of tea and relax a bit well I run my upload ans download. Have a wonderful night everyone.

Thanks to this thread, I will be saving a bit more money. I have been zealous about running the dishwasher and laundry only between 7pm and 7am, which is no hardship as I prefer to work through the night rather than during the day. Now I will be doing most of my cooking during that period, as well. I roasted a turkey last night. Don't know why this did not occur to me before...but it didn't. So, like I said, thanks!

Well I survived my first week as a grade 1 assistant for 2 hrs each morning-luckily for me the weather was quite mild making it pleasant to walk to and from school and supervise outdoor play. Today I don't have much planned other than a walk or bike ride with DH as it is supposed to be 10 degrees and a quick tidy and cooking dinner for some friends who are coming over later.

Hi frugal friends. New year check in! Working full-time again means time is our most valuable commodity. We are no longer pinching pennies as much as we do minutes!
We had our roof replaced in the fall, which after having a $0 LOC for so long was a hard having debt again...so we are still pinching pennies too. Fortunately, we have a payment plan and look forward to the day when those extra payments can be extra savings! Our smaller LOC loans were paid off quickly so we are optimistic for this larger endeavour to be paid in under a year.
@Natalka
sorry to hear you are in hospital. Hoping old and new friends have a great 2019!
