A friend of mine is part of a coupon group in another city and she said that she was told that L.D. will no longer accept stacking on:
1. Diapers
2. Finish and Scrubbing bubbles (no news there)
3. Aveeno
AND that you can no longer price match and use coupons. I am hoping that is something that is strictly limited to their store or stores, but can anyone confirm or deny this rumour? That would suck. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

the best way to confirm is to call/email your local store and ask about their policy..hopefully it hasnt changed. as they are really making it hard for canadians to coupon, instead of changing all of the rules for canada they should change some rule to the usa so that they have to calm down on the couponing its like they are overdoing it and us as canadians are getting the kick for it.. no fair wish we were treated with the same respect in regards to coupons out everyweek and having higher prices and everything else its almost like you should just cross the border for the day to do grocerie runs and make a huge stock pile for your self to save money cause you cant do it nearly as good here as in the states at least thats my opinion.. anyone else have anything ... i forgot lol

It is true for Aveeno, Finish and Scrubbing bubbles. Not so sure on the diapers...would have to depend on the wording on the coupons or in this case the particular store.
There is also a memo out in stores that states they will no longer stack this wording "cannot be combined with any other offer".
The price matching and coupon are two distinct policies and they have not confirmed that this has changed and there is no memo reflecting that change....as of yet.

The only item they are no longer stacking on is Finish. I got the complete list of changes straight from their head office.
Email their head office and ask specific questions. I asked them to clarify with the stores, but it doesn't look like they did, maybe a couple dozen emails with the same question will get them moving.
The only change to their stacking policy since November is the Finish, and that they will no longer stack Scrubbing Bubbles when they are on sale or price matched - the companies specifically said they would not honor coupons if they continued. The issue is that the letter the stores were sent (around Dec 18) was confusing and many took it to mean no stacking on any sale items or price matches.

I also asked specifically about the wording, and "cannot be combined with any other offer" is still fine, ecxept the Scrubbing Bubbles.

All of them follow the same policy - here are excerpts from the email eaxchange with Kathy at head office:
We are still having some confusion regarding stacking coupons at this location, and others in Edmonton.
At the london Centre location yesterday, coupons with the wording "may not be combined with any other offer" were accepted as stackable, today I was told they could not only not be stacked, but could not be used on sale items or price matches.
Could you please clarify for me what the policy now is with this wording?
If it is still allowed to stack, pricematch or buy sale items with coupons with this wording - please clarify it with the stores in Edmonton as well.
Thank You
Lance Anderson

Dear Mr. Anderson,
Thank you for contacting London Drugs in regards to our coupon policy.
London Drugs welcomes all inquiries and comments as it is through your feedback that we can continue to monitor our level of service.
I have attached our coupon policy and new coupon letter that explains all coupon acceptance and price matching policy. There have been a few additions in regards to two products.
- Scrubbing Bubbles coupons are not be accepted if the product is on sale or price matched with other retailers.
- Finish Dishwashing coupons are not stackable.
Thank you again for your questions and if you need any further clarification please do not hesitate to contact us again or speak directly to management at the store when redeeming your coupons

clarification questions -
I would like clarification that coupons with the wording "may not be combined with any other offer" are still stackable and may be used on sale items and may be used with price matches.

Dear Mr. Anderson,
Thank you for your reply. I hope this clarifies things for you.
* If the coupon states it "can't be combined with any other offer" - we accept stacking
* If the coupon states - "can't be combined with any other offer, promotion or discount" - it is stating we don't accept stacking on discounts or sale items.
Thank you again and we look forward to serving you again in the future.
Sincerely,
Kathy

I would again encourage people to email Kathy with the same questions and arm yourselves with the response letters.

Seen a post on another site and apparently the manager at WEM was asked about it today and he said that the Finish Quantum should be the only thing that cannot be stacked and that other stores are reading the MEMO wrong and that is why they are not excepting coupons that say" cannot be combined with any other offer" that only applies on the Finish. He told the customer that he'll ring head office and let them know what is happening at these stores and so hopefully it will go back to normal. This is why on LD's website (facebook)? they keep saying their policy has not changed. FINGERS CROSSED LADIES.

I went there tonite finally and so far there are little changes, though they are still refusing scrubbing bubbles as well as finish...(is scrubbing bubbles supposed to go back??) She looked at me funny when I told her what I had been told, and yet, in Calgary they are being told that these changes are coming down from head office (also from L.D. employees from what I understand) but then again maybe they are also reading the memo incorrectly and once again this will all die down shortly. Fingers crossed too.

Hi Ladies,
I enquired on the LD Facebook page and talked to Dave the manager at LD at WEM and the confusion was the memo. A lot of stores were taking the two page memo and reading it as two seperate memos. Dave has contacted head office to explain what is going on because I told him this is happening at a lot of stores.
Head Office has responded saying they will try and clear things up with all the stores.
You can see the entire post and all the comments from LD headoffice right on their facebook page. You will see the post under Joy Harrod (which is me).
LD did mention right under the post that they will NOT stack Aveeno, Finish and Scrubbing bubbles BUT that the "cannot be combined with any other offer" was part of the Finish memo and not a seperate memo so that is good news.
Here is the link to the LD facebook page if you want to look at the conversation between myself and head office that cleared up the misunderstanding of the memo with the WEM store and they have said they will try and clear up with all the other stores. https://www.facebook.com/#!/LondonDrugs Look for a long winded comment posted under Joy Harrod lol

Just stop shopping at LD (with or without coupons) until they get it together. If they have no shoppers in the store, they will very quickly get this coupon thing clarified!!!

I agree with Gramps and I have not been back since November. I have enough stock to last a long time and no need to hoard. By the time I need more products, this matter will be resolved. For other items that I can't stack anyway, off to Costco.

I also have not been to London Drugs nearly as much as I used to. And I think the only reason I went in December was with my brother as he was looking at some electronics. I've sort of just been off couponing altogether because of all these issues.
