Rapini is 3/$5....wish they had an individual price listed, so I could price match. (sigh).

Do your local stores not allow price matches like the 3 for $5.00 Cyn? I know all the stores I shop at would allow that price match (From RCSS, to Walmart and everyone in-between). I knew for a while stores were being sticklers about those kinds of price matches, but I thought they got over that ridiculous policy

Your stores will do this? Huh. I'll have to look into this! In the past, I've always been denied -- I thought it might be because the cashiers couldn't input a xx/$xx value. RCSS and No Frills are the stores I've tried at, around Weston/401 area, but that was months ago -- I'll ask customer service the next time I'm there. It would be really convenient if they do PM!

I just tell them
"I'm pming the mangoes 3/$5 so its $1.67 each "
The issue is the math
3/$10 is $3.33
Just break it down for them
The problem lies when an ads say or $4 for one and you are not buying the 3 of them , but most ads will break it down and say or 3.33 each

I still occasionally don't remember to do this up front, but my experience is that it does help save a bit of time with cashiers who can't do the division in their heads.
When the cost per unit includes a fraction of a cent, I usually even do the rounding for them, so in this example, if I were buying three or more, I'd say how many at 1.67 and at 1.66.

I have experienced this too sometimes where the store will say they can't if it's doesn't have the individual price listed. Just try to stick to other stores who will PM it.
