At least not all people are like this. One time at Freshco a dude behind me looked at the screen as the cashier input my coupons. It was only $5.50 but he turned to his wife and said "wow, couponing is worth it. She saved $5.50!"

And I would said '',way'' for bons différée'' because in the sale people go crazy and the shelves with deal are empty....better to go the first day...not after the week end...lesson learned too

WELL SAID!! It is ASTONISHING to me how many people feel it their right to comment on our coupon usage.

A similar experience at WM when a woman (IN ANOTHER LINE) saw the number of coupons in my hand, and said directly to me "Are you one of THOSE extreme couponers? I would NEVER be able to do that!!" with a sigh and eye roll.

I looked at her with a large smile and said "I would NEVER be able to pay full price for all those items in your cart that I have a coupon right here in my folder for but thank you so much for sharing your opinion."

I then looked down at my 8-year old daughter, and said (loud enough that the woman could overhear) "See, sweetheart. That's a perfect example of if you can't say anything nice it is better to say nothing at all." Ha ha ha!

The cashier started laughing, and kept marvelling at the amount we were saving. Win-win!

Couponing... You're either proud of it or ashamed of it. If you're proud, all those rude comments will never get to you! It takes brains, organizational skills, math and logic, social skills, patience and common sense. Things those people are lacking, I guess!

This reminds me of the 2 Broke Girls episode I watched last night where the former rich one is embarrassed at 1st when her friend wants her to use coupons. Then when her $75 total comes to only $12, she is impressed , & gets into extreme couponing.
