I am trying to learn about the best value for whey protien in smoothies as part of my new healthy diet. I now understand that the Whey protien Isolate is supposed to be really good, I am just looking for something for my breakfast smoothies. So does anyone know what kind of cost/serving I should be paying? And what a good value is? It seems so expensive and there are so many kinds out there!! Help!!

My husband drinks this when he does his body building. I usually buy it for him when it comes on sale at Wal-mart. The cheapest is usually the 6 star muscle brand. It is about $18 for a two pound jug. He says it tastes really good too. I tried shopping around at health food stores and vitamin stores like GNC. Walmart is cheaper by far! I also noticed that the Bulk Barn sells it now but I have no idea if it is cheaper or what the quality is like.

Will definately check them out. I was at Costco and they have an enormous pail there which works out to 51 cents per serving, but they only have vanilla, and I do prefer the chocolate ones, and with that pail it would take me a year to get through it!
