Yesterday I was wishing I had kept the Monopoly money bills (from our old game-I had kept the bills but later recycled them) so I could use the $500 ones to represent money that Mom has given me over the past few years and $100 bills to represent money that sibling used to pay off my charge card years ago.
I better get busy making chain links tonight out of wrapping paper (kraft based wrap with little stars).2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Made the $16000 chain link (took about 30 min) and I'm sure I have to add a few more links. Plus need to make one link to represent a past card debt. Very relaxing activity once I began making the links (I did not cut the strips evenly nor the same length so there is some tension if I had to fold a lengthwise edge to make a link fit inside another one) and let my mind go through some thoughts (other people, my like of shiny new things and sugary treats, etc.).
I had to use the good wrapping paper (smaller pieces left over from gift wrapping) as the kraft paper was used up. Blinging my credit issue so far!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

If you are making an Amazon order anyway, you could consider getting this: https://www.amazon.ca/Monopoly-28852...9907167&sr=8-5

so, while i spent alot on groceries this weekend.. pc point rule. and good good sales. i keep coming back to the core values thing Gail was chatting about.
i took , my very good deals, thank you price matching, sales.. and a detailed list.
and did food prep. .. everything is put away.
i will do up a good menu plan... lotsof options.
all this makes me calm. it makes me happy. having it there and ready.. helps me . my hubby knows this. he looked at me and said this is part of you .. by being orgaised and planned and healthy food on the table is part of you its part of your core. it helps you do all teh other things you have to do . and he is right... having alll this done.. means i can focus for the next bit on taking care of the family and my family is my core. the reason i do everythingto join earnably https://earnably.com/i/gigi3

@brunt The odd time I do see Monopoly money in a bag tagged at Value Village. I plan to look out for it in the future but I am liking my wrapping paper links so far! Sibling lives for Amazon orders. I cannot order a thing online due to locked debit card.

how is everyone doing with this....
i am finding the tracking of money spent great.
the colouring in of when you spend money.. nah. its a whatever. i get it s to break the habit of spending needlyessly or being aware of when you spend. simply being more aware of when you spend. but.. its not mind blowing for me. lol. -m equally i also dont do no spend months... lol. i did for a few months years ago.. and i found it simply lead to me over spending when i got out of them .. as in March first.. the spending simply happened. so it was a false . it was simpy delaying the spending. now i work on spending less...
and i do well with tht.
i am pretty much where i want to be budjet wise for the month.to join earnably https://earnably.com/i/gigi3

I will say.. that gail makes me feel less guilty about spending money. Dave Ramsey has a thing about .. if you are in debt the only time you should see the inside of a resturant is if you work in one.
i think that logic leads to guilt and fear.
gail is more about embracing your spending and doing it with in paramiters.
add your restruant spending to the grocery budget to see a true .. how much do you spend on food. and its about choices. yes.. cutting out take out .. should ahppen.. or at least happen less as cookingfrom home is simply cheaper. ... most times.. ignor my times i bbq steak and shrimp please... but its more about balance.
and nudging those budgets a bit so you can pay more on debt.. or take control of your spending..
ok.. i am sure everyone has heard enough from me... off to find more tea.... my expensive davids one.. that i bought 20 % off.. andi make from home.. as i am a tea snob.. but frugal ....lol.to join earnably https://earnably.com/i/gigi3

I'll join in the tea drinking this week. I have poor impulse control on small spends. If I see it, without a list in my hand, I tend to buy unless the other shop needs are at nearby stores, then I stay with the list.
Yesterday it was chocolate rather than putting the coins towards remainder of March bank fee. My brain needed soothing, so chocolate it was.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
