The Arctic Gardens BOGO coupons are great because they do not specify that the free item has to be of equal or lesser value to the purchased item. I have been buying the $1.99 bag of rice then I use the free one towards $5 off the large club size bag.
This week at No Frills the large bags are on sale for $4.97. I was able to price match at WM so all I had to buy was four small bags of rice and ended up with four large bags of veggies (reg $8 each) for free.
You could even try to combine this with the $1.00 off printable for the rice, but I didn't try it because it printed kind of blurry and didn't look right to me.
Out of Pocket: $7.96 plus tax
Total purchase price before PM and coupons: $43.80 plus taxThis thread is currently associated with: No Frills

Honestly i think that bogo is always understood as equal or lesser amount and price determined by the larger itom (if not equal).

Lucky you got that deal, I used the $1 off then got the 2nd bag free (both bags were the same price) I got mine at Walmart and paid $2.97 -$1=$1.97+free bag, worked out to 99 cents each.

I got the big 1.75kg bags at walmart, pm'd NF flyer ($4.97) and used the b1g1 coupons. Originally these big bags are close to $9 each.
The coupon came from filling out surveys (I do the paper mail in one and the online version), the envelope is always stuffed with things I would never otherwise buy (like overpriced frozen veggies). The arctic gardens coupon came as a freebie with 6 b1g1 to share with your friends... but since my friends don't like coupons I used them all an shared the 13 bags with 4 good friends. 13 big bags came to just under $30.

I'd be leery to try this, I don't think most cashiers would accept it. Save-On did have some of the rice bags on sale 2 for $3 last week. I used $1 off coupon on one bag and got the other for free. $0.25 per bag! I bought some of the veggies tonight at Wal-Mart...$2.97 for 2 bags isn't a bad price either...wish I had more of the $1 off coupons (the printable one looks so fake I didn't even bother to try it).

I have the Shoppers Voice ones too. Didn't notice that there was no reference to "lesser value" so it is technically valid imo. The coupon does state "try our vegetables" so using it with rice product might not be accepted.
