It is unfortunate that the store doesn't train their cashiers properly in coupons. Some times you need to take a deep breath and remember that sometimes they just don't have the training they need. Ask for a CSR if you have that problem again this way they come to the cash and the cashier can learn the lingo and you get your coupons used properly. A way to secretly help teach their cashiers.

Exactly what I was thinking. Sometimes we are too hard on the cashiers( wait a minute, did I say that?). They are just going by what they have been told/taught by people who are not always informed properly. I guess it's just part of our jobs now to teach others.

I had the same experience with Cashier Micheal at the Safeway, at Northgate, he was arguing with me about the same thing I bought five bags of van houtte coffee and gave hime five coupons and he said I could only use one. So I did not buy any..it is sad stores do not properly train their employees about the difference in the terms per purchase and per transaction.

Great deals! Sorry you had problems with the cashier. I hate when that happens.

I had a similar situation where the cashier had to do two separate transactions because she assumed that I can only use one coupon per 'purchase.' I bought two Glade Decor Scents and used one coupon for each. It was kind of a waste of effort, not for me but for her. And this is in London Drugs.
