Not sure if anyone else out there has a Shoppers Optimum card and a CT Mastercard, but the CT Mastercard has a feature on it that allows you to make bill payments similar to how you would using online banking. You can search for MBNA Mastercard and enter your Optimum Mastercard number and make your payment.

It means you get Optimum points on purchases and then CT Money when you pay your Optimum Mastercard off with your CT Mastercard. I've been doing it for a few months now and am earning $25-$30 a month in CT money.

You can also use the CT mastercard to pay bills that normally aren't payable by Credit Card like property taxes and utility bills. It's a great way to rack up extra CT Money.

is the CT mastercard the only "special" card like this that can pay for credit card bills, property taxes, etc? And can it pay for ANYTHING?

I don't know of another that you can pay other bills with, but they may exist.

The credit card can pay for anything a credit card can be used for. Its just like a normal credit card. The bills you can pay with it are limited. You can search the database in the same way you do when paying a bill through your online banking. The list is not as extensive as my online banking, but it has quite a few. I looked to see if you could pay PC Mastercard with the CT mastercard, but I couldn't find it in the list,, but my city taxes and utilities were there.

    Hope that helps!

So you after you make the payment, you pay the CT credit card you used off right away, right?

Since it counts as a cash advance (balance transfer), I imagine, when you're paying another credit card company?

It actually doesn't count as a cash advance. I looked into that specifically and I've been doing it for a couple months and it definetely comes up as a purchase and not a cash advance. I have NEVER paid any interest on mmy CT Mastercard even after I started doing this.

If you're still not sure, make a small payment, like $1 or something (I did $10 the first time) and you'll see it is a purchase, not a cash advance.

    Really !!!! Property Taxes...

Hmm, I know we have to pay either cash or from the bank , like a direct deposit( no credit card payments allowed).....
and I know this because I had to go in and pay it the first time in cash and it is not like I have bad credit score or anything ( it was just the rule).
    Anyone else have this??
