Can we get SCOP even if the product is on sale? I was at Metro yesterday and they had fries on sale for $1.99 but when I went to cashier it rang up at $2.99. Should I have gotten the product for free? When I complained cashier wouldn't give it to me for free saying sale products you can't get scop. Is that true?

I have successfully SCOPed sale items. In fact most of the time it is because they are on sale and the shelf price did not change that I can SCOP them.

Item 1.1 in this page refers to advertised prices. I think they were wrong.

I too have successfully SCOPed sale items where the item was on sale and the shelf price did not change. This was at Sobeys. I've also bought a $12 nail polish at Walmart where the box was marked $5 but for another color. They gave it to me free when I returned at the store.
