Well friends I’ve made it back. Like many others time management can be a challenge at times. It seems that I do get stuff done but it takes so long! When I look back at my day I wonder where it went!
I am starting to think that perhaps I need to accept that it’s just the way it is and I need to chill and not
demand so much of myself. This will be easier said than done!
Thank you for your listening ears! Have a great evening!
@Ciel21 :So nice and refreshing to see you posting :) I hope you are okaie. @Skippy : Yep time sure fly fast compared to what I want to accomplish but I am agree with you sometimes the body and mind just need to relax! :)
I cannot wait to go at my auntie marraine cabane a sucre'' sugar shack'' soon they are doing it this year,it will be a good but a fast season it occur!
Rescued 20 cans of soup from the donation bin for the local Food Bank. They were dated 2019-2020 and the Bank won't take anything more than 1 year after the Best Before date. So, they would have just gone into the dump upon arrival at the Bank. At least I'll eat them. :)
Ceil -thanks for the tip about ozonol but the stonechurch sobeys doesnt have a pharmacy in it .
Got to bring a piece of reeces peanut butter cake that was made for my son's birthday on sunday past home .Hubby and i just shared it a little too sweet for my liking but a tiny piece was nice with my tea .
i read a article that with the gas going up ... we should see a 33% hike in grocery prices... i am a tad.... terrified...
my mom does not want grocery shopping this week... i am .... excited to stay home. I may pop over to uber expensive storeand grab fruit. it is to late to get a produce box for the week. with the price of gas... it makes going into big town just for fruits and veggies .. not so worth it.
plan is to stay home.. work on the family room.. my course.. do a bit of .. self maintence .. find a bit of balance.. its been a rough rough week.
I am with you being terrified as to the cost of everything going up up up! Scary times for sure.
We went to the Keg for dinner (my BIL treated us) went to concert and am now in the Fairmont York Hotel (sister used points for free rooms for us) downtown Toronto doing a bit of work before bed. We went for a walk right around the time the Leaf fans were getting out of the game. Lots of action in Toronto. DS wanted to take some pictures with his fancy camera. But wow if we had to pay what a crazy expensive night.
I am motivated to keep getting rid of our junk and build our "crap sold" stash. Need to save every penny for these rainy days ahead :(
Frugalbigmama -my daughter has lived in toronto for 16 yrs and loves it -in her area it is so nice near a huge park ,small cafe near the park and restaurants are reasonable ,but down town or yorkdale expensive .Not the hussle and bussle .
I know she will never leave toronto ,her friends are there, her work even thou she works at home for now and her ex(which they need to be not far from sebastian as he is young)
I have thought of things to do with the girls -i cant believe some things are so expensive for families
tree trekking villiage $64 for all of us
royal botanical gardens $62 to see an exhibit for the 4 of us
indoor playground in burlington $46.97
how do families of 4 or more do fun thing in 2022 on the cheaper end -honestly
so it will be free ice skating because the girls have skates
and maybe a provincial park that is in oakville that has a play barn -not sure on that price but may be $25 or under for a car -i need to call and see if it is open
May have them sleep over at my house on sat night as my backyard has a small hill to tobaggan down and to break up the weekend (we bought a sled this yr red plastic one 18.99 at canadian tire)
Libraries usually have March Break programs and don't forget area malls might do special shows too!
Was up super early this morning, up at 5 am and right to work. Already had a few things knocked off my list before our branches even opened this morning.
I ran to No Frills right at opening as I saw a couple things in the flyer I wanted to grab and was worried about stock, I got:
3 x Beef Roast $3.99 - Each one was right around $30 plus I got 9000 pts - My stores limit was 3 and at that price I went for it
2 x Dish Soap $1.99 - 600 pts - My points offer was for Soft Soap but it worked for Palmolive Dish Soap, nice surprise
1 x Bananas
1 x Milk
2 x Strawberries $1.99
1 x Blueberries $1.99
3 x Cucumbers $0.99
Small shop, will probably need to grab a few more things next week but happy to get the Beef Roasts. We will tackle these on the weekend, I think one we will cut into strips and chunks, so much cheaper than buying Stewing Beef or Beef Strips. I think I will cook one, make a nice Roast Beef Dinner, have the extras in the fridge for Sandwiches next week and whatever we do not eat, we will freeze cooked for Shephard's Pie. The last one I am thinking will cut in half for 2 future meals.
This will be a more expensive shopping week for us because of the Beef but now, I should not need more beef for awhile, except maybe some ground beef.
Happy Thursday Everyone
Ceil-its not march break yet ,my son asnd his wife are just getting away for 2 and a half days.Pretty sure we are going ice skating and bronte creek with them .
Off to shoppers to get my seniors day cheap milk .

i figure my mom will want to gr shop next week. I am staring my gr list in anticpation . i will inventory pantry and freezer as well.
i am considering starting some seeds. ... or even just purchasing some for the main garden...
tomorrow is friday.. long week. definatly needing a weekend.
Rough day at work and it just continues. Sometimes it’s hard to get out of the at funk so I treated myself to a cold brew and Dh and I will split a large cinnamon roll. Was hoping to not spend $$$ today but today just proved to be too much for me. Maybe I need a good workout but I’m just sooooooooooo exhausted!
Strawberries on for $1.67 at my food basics but moldy :-( Will have to try another location. However their pork chops are on sale and I got 6 thick ones for what Fortinos was selling three for. Happy to use my giftccard. Also was looking for a stand up dust pan. Expensive at Canadian Tire but found one at Dollarama for $2, plus a broom for $2 for the dog poo outside. I'm glad I have a small dog and the amount is small.
Now just having soup with the blinds open to let the sunshine in. Can't believe it will be in the teens on Sunday with rain.
