I am new to this forum and have been entering the 680 weather guarantee with your help for about a year now.
I just have a question.
Is it better to accumulate the points and play the DAY when 680 news misses the temperature by 3 degrees
OR
Keep entering each day as one gets the points [like 250 points = 3 entries each day + change] ?

I don't think it really matters when you 'buy' your ballots. Personally, I buy them right after there is a winner, to ensure I have them in just in case I don't see / hear that they missed the guarantee.

Don't hold your breath on winning on 680news. The insider club passed 200,000 members last year. Most active members have between 200 and 1000 ballots for a typical jackpot. It only takes one to win but the odds are still about 1 / 200,000 if you assume everyone is equal. 680 said for the $35000 jackpot a year or two back that there were 14,000,0000 ballots in the pile. You do the math, odds are just a bit better than the weekend lottery. Good luck to all.

Hi,

Someone told me once that she could not buy more than 99 entries, but I don't know if it was in 1 day, or in 1 shot. In any event, that would go against putting all your entries the day they announce missing the guarantee.

Personally, I only start buying entries once the jackpot has reached $5K. That way, I accumulate entries over possibly several misses. For the $18,000 jackpot last week, I was up to 2,780 entries, and I still have points to use now. Unfortunately, although my odds were better than most people in the GTA, I did not win
