We have been with Zoomer for at least 6 years now. Our current plan is $30 a month on a 2-year contract with unlimited Canada-wide minutes, a couple of GB data that I never use all, plus an entry-level Samsung phone. They have stopped new offers though, so while I can continue the plan month to month, I can no longer get a new phone by committing for 2 more years.

I'm not desperate to move in the short term, but will need to eventually as our phone ages. Any suggestions? I'm willing to buy a phone if doing that will let me get a good rate on just service.

As Zoomer Wireless ended service at start of this month, did you move to Speakout or Freedom Mobile? Just curious if you ported out in October when news of Rogers ending prepaid plans for its telecom and Fido flanker brand surfaced.
Shoppers Drug Mart still has the clearance priced Blu G51 phone (dual Sim) available in-store. It is Android based.

Service ends Dec. 31, so I am still hoping to see a boxing day deal that's better than what I've seen offered so far.
