Corporate Sponsor for backpacks

What a weird way to maybe get a sponsor for my homeless backpack project ... I just answered my door and it was the local PC candidate... usually I dont talk to them but he asked me about the wooden box by my door... his exact words were ...there has to be a story to that box... so I mentioned my backpacks for the homeless project and he spoke about his charity work a great talker of corse lol ... then said he can hook me up with a corporate sponser to get 500 backpacks... and he means real backpacks not cheap ones from the dollarstore.... I am going to send the email right now and I am sure it might take some time but if its true.... YAHOO... what do you all think will it come true or is it campaign promises...

also is anyone really good at writing these types of letters that could help me so it sounds good
