7 labels on one pack of Metro Selection brand eggs

This is more weird than a rant.
Why do I get a stack of 7 labels in one pack of eggs? Feels so wasteful.

You only got one with an etched BB date and line code, which means each sheet wasn't pulled individually.

My guess is they got stuck when being pulled from the stack at the packaging plant.

Either humidity in the plant caused them to stick, or worn rollers on the equipment. When the rollers get glossy and slippery, they pull extra sheets.
