I will keep this short.
My mother passed away 2 yrs ago and I went to her accountant to get the ball rolling for a clearance certificate. Asked her to do this on May 31/23. Found out much later that she did it on July 13/23. Never received by Revenue Canada as is was "mailed" and lost in the "mail". What accountant does this?? Finally at Revenue Canada on Dec 27/23. Am I wrong is assuming that she did not apply for the clearance certificate in the first place? This thread is currently associated with: N/A

If the accountant has not explained why she submitted the request so late to your satisfaction, not near the time of your request, consider filing a professional complaint the organization regulating accountants in Ontario. CPA Ontario | Professional Misconduct and Complaints
