I have two questions that I'd like to ask for opinions:

1. I've been thinking (and drooling over) getting a Cricuit for a very long time but I am also wondering for those who own one, is it very worth it to have one? Why and what are the benefits of having one?

2. ...Well I seem to have a brain fart and have forgotten what I was gonna ask. :-\ I REMEMBER!!!! Took me seconds after just getting into bed and falling asleep to remember. My bed is falling apart pretty much and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good stores in Edmonton that have reasonable prices for a good quality bed? Thanks so much!

If you are looking for a new mattress the Salvation Army can't be beat. Their beds are amazing, yes they are new and come with warranties. They are donated by a local company. You also don't have to pay GST.

I also wondered about the cricut thing and got the sizzix cutter. It serves my needs. I like that you can use so many different lines with it including Tim Holtz. I use it mostly for mixed media stuff so Tim Holtz die cuts were so exciting. I also like the one line that has many different sizes of the same shape and embosses.

My mother in law has the big shot and I think that is the one that I will end up getting. I like the fact that the die cuts & embossing folders are compatible with it and very easy to use.

Right now I have the Slice machine similar to the Cricut. I bought it just cause Michael's was clearing them out. I don't like the fact that I have to glue down the paper for me to cut it, I find it kind of a waste. However, the slice hasn't gotten great reviews and I can see why, I am very glad that I got it so cheap. I have personally never tried the Cricut and I hear great things about it, but those are just my two cents

Ikea is always worth checking out for beds, especially if you can find something in the as-is section. I think I paid $69 for a single bed frame for ds, the only thing wrong with it is that the head and foot boards were natural colour and the side rails white. It looks like it is supposed to be that way, and blankets cover it.

Mattresses you can usually get on sale if the box spring and mattress colours don't match. It's covered with sheets so it doesn't matter.

Mattresses at Salvation Army are not defective or mismates. We bought my daughter a double sized chiropractic mattress that is double sided with a teddy bear (soft and fuzzy) mattress cover. I believe it was under $400. They also carry mattresses now with bamboo covers. Plain
