sad about the dog, but, with this particular coworker, not convinced about the stress leave
more work for the rest of us

3 weeks for a dog? My workplace gives 3 days for a family member. I'd be irritated too.

I know that for some people their dog is very important, and losing a dog can be like losing a dear family member.
I just know the schemes and tricks this coworker has played over the years.
I would hate to be in management and have to deal with all this "stupid stuff" from scammers like this coworker

I had 2 co-irkers like that. One had children, the other didn't but they seemed to have a battle over who could come up with the strangest excuse for have an extended period of time off.
