I know you guys are working as busy busy bees to get the site fixed but I just noticed this and I am not too sure how to explain it properly

In the SC Scan Thread I would click on the post number in the right hand corner and it would open up in a new window with its own URL but now it doesn't so when you go to link a coupon with it's picture it pulls up the whole page of posted coupons instead of going straight to that specific coupon

    Does that make sense??

    Thanks

I am having the same problem with another thread. I couldn't figure out how to get the link for a particular post with the new system so I looked at old posts where I did it and figured out a workaround - fixing the url manually. There might be an easier way to generate the link, but this is all I could figure out.

For example, if you wanted a link to mcminsen's latest post with the TrueBlack coupon (post 923), right click on 923 and open the link in a new window. You'll get a link that looks something like this (depending on your site view settings - it might not be on page 31 for you)

    http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/262910-...1/#post4559052

What we want to do is delete everything after http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/ but keep the number after #post, so we get something like this:

    http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/4559052

This is post 923, so we add -post923.html to the end of the link

    http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/4559052-post923.html

If I've done that right, the link above should go straight to that particular coupon - not in its own window, but better than just going to the page it's on, I hope

I hope that works for you! For something like the Scan Zone thread, linking to a particular post is important. There might be an easier way of doing it - I hope someone can share if there is

I have edited the code so that the URL structure on the #postid links are as requested for easier post link sharing.
The best method is to hover over the linked #postnumber, Right Click>Copy Link Address> and then paste it to someone you'd like to share it with. No need to manually construct the links now.

For example, this posts link looks like the following:
    http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/4561329-post4.html
