The $4 peelie has the SDM logo on the front, but it doesn't say anything about only being valid at SDM. On the inside, it says "manufacturer's coupon" and "GST/HST/QST and Provincial Sales Tax (where applicable) are included in face value of coupon".
Under "consumer:", it states "limit one coupon per purchase", "use of more than one manufacturer coupon per product is strictly prohibited", and "you may pay sales tax".
Since they made up so much of my 20x the points shop, I had to stop in and check. These phrases were on my $1.50 off coupon (left behind) which was stuck underneath the $4 off coupon (used). The $4 off manufacturer's coupon has the exact same wording as the $1.50 off manufacturer's coupon that does not have the SDM logo on it.
I guess it comes down to what "GST/HST/QST and Provincial Sales Tax (where applicable) are included in face value of coupon" means.

I called Pantene about the wording, and they had no idea. ( I think she was American.) She basically said it was up to the store and whatever they charged was correct as they know their taxation policies best.
My SDM said they were right to enter it as 2001.Last edited by sweet sparrow; Tue, Apr 17th, 2012 at 10:50 PM.
