The materna I was taking was plugging me up from all the iron (I already have IBS-C) so I stopped taking them until things got moving again down there 9 DAYS LATER! I made a trip to spartan nutrition today to see about a more natural prenatal and I came home with these vitamins called progressive prenatals. The medicinal ingredient list won't let me paste on here for some reason but I was wondering if anyone had ever taken them or had experiences with other more natural prenatal vitamins as opposed to the pharmaceutical ones.

I used to used materna but I had the same problem. Switched to Jamieson and I've been fine since then. I've never heard of progressive prenatals, they sound interesting though...

I took Progressive prenatal and loved them! I found that they had better ingredients than the drug store variety. I would recommend that you bring them to your OB appointment (if you did purchase them) and ask your doctor if she/he thinks they are suitable for you though. My doctor felt that I needed more iron (I've had issues with iron in the past) so I too had to take an iron supplement.
