Not so much of a brag as an ALERT. I purchased some yummy looking "Selections"hot &spicy chicken fillets (freezer section) which were on sale for $6.99 but as usualdid not come up sale price but reg. price at $9.99. . .I caught it, because just about every time I go to Foodland this happens. The kicker was. . . despite that they were only going to give me the difference in price!
I said, "Ummm. I thought you got it free if there was a mistake??"
Cashier says, "Oh ya! Only if you ask though. Otherwise we're not supposed to do it". Can u believe that?! Foodland is by far the highest price store in our araea. . .and they're pulling this?! Disgusting! This thread is currently associated with: Foodland

Most stores do that for SCOP - if they can get away with it, they will

Maybe, all the stores around here you have to fight for it - even after you point it out they have reasons why it doesnt apply

what doodoo heads!
i thought that if they voluntary participate in SCOP that means that they are, umm, what's the word... participating! lol
no one is making them do it. by voluntarily participating, they are making the statement that they are determined to be on top of things. if their system doesn't reflect the most correct and up-to-date pricing, they are willing to compensate you for the inconvenience of having to point out the mistake and wait for it to be corrected.
she probably said they aren't supposed to do it because the manager at that store is a moron and doesn't want to follow the company policy of participating in SCOP.In 2020 I had 100 FREE Grocery pickups! Subscribe to PC Optimum Insiders & get 25,000 PC Optimum pts
