Yes unfortunately the CLSC does not offer the 24 hour a day in home care that my mother requires. She is past the point where the CLSC is any benefit.

But back to the topic at hand

Not sure about you but when someone tells me "on va vous l'organiser votre Grand Prix" I would take that as a threat. They did a lot of back peddling after that statement.

For me this show that some of them (not sure this is all) want to disturb everything with a potential of tribune to talk and pass their message... And yes this is like threat or intimidation that we don't need to solve the problem. Unfortunatly for me, this is a negative and destructive way to do something and this show me what they are ready to do to get their point. I don't need that kind of people in my life, I prefered the constructive and positive one on a daily basis.

BTW, I'm not sure all the student association have the same opinion right now, or want the same thing... They met (or don't met) not all the same people/organisation since one week. They don't seems to have the same goals or the same way to negociate and pass their point of view.

No the other 2 major organizations said they will not disrupt festivals. At least some are showing maturity. it's La Classe and another one I can't remember the acronym for.

I hope they leave it alone. We need this to go well for the economy and I hope others see it that way too. I know here in Chambly the protesters are having arguments in themselves about following the law 78 or not. Civilians don't want to risk the tickets but are against the law.. big ol mess.

Funny story: I asked a girl (mid 30s) if sheknew where xxx street was and that I was looking for the protest. She answered'' oh, oh I don't know, I'm not a student"" LMOA!! Hilarious. Iparticipated in last Sunday's protest and will every Sunday and I will say most of the vulgarity comes from the old folks!

Yes, we pay a lot of taxes and there are a lot of things that "should be" free. They aren't; not education, not health care.

Are the politicians to blame? Probably. Will the election of a new party be the answer? Probably not. The corruption, the mismanagement of public money is inherent in the system. There will likely be a big show of "cleaning up", but in the end, the same system will exist and more money will have been spent.

@ Saradouce: make no mistake, just because someone does not "work" does not mean they don't pay tax.....property tax, gas tax, sales tax...all these go into the public purse. The more tax an individual or family pays, the less they have to pump into the economy.

    there is no hope

No there is no hope because the people who have the ideas and the willpower to change things are too smart to get into politics and those that do, get caught up in the same broken system. That's why it changes very little over the years.

I cannot believe some protested at the phanco! What a mess this week I see what's going on and the ppl causing all the trouble aren't what I consider protesters, theya re trouble makers plain and simple. I'm disgusted by them and so are most of the students and protesters I know. I think soon among the protesters there will be divisions between the trouble makers and the pacific protesters.
Oh and Jacques Villeneuve would know a thing or two about being spoiled..
