i wanted to know if there is any rule about paying tax while using FPC.
At walmart today I bought Swiffer WETJET Starter Kit and also bought the Swiffer Refill pack. I used the coupons from P&G insert for $5 off starter kit and another coupon for free Refill pack. But i had to pay roughly $3.90 Tax on both the items. This was my first time using FPC along with another coupon and already it took me nearly half an hour to made them understand what i was trying to do using both coupons. I went to customer service before buying the item to be clear about how i was gonna use both coupons. She asked a manger and said its ok. Then the lady at checkout refused to take both coupons together. when i insisted she called the supervisor who also refused. I paid for everything else except those two items as there was a que behind me. I went back to customer service and explained everything to the second girl who was there then. She said its ok to use both and to be ons afe side asked Customer services Manager who refused to take both coupons together in one transaction . They both then called another women and finally accepted both my coupons. I kept my view firm and used both coupons. But you all can imagine that after half an hour or so battle with 2 small kids i have had enough a
nd therfore i did not ask her about the tax and paid the tax on free item too.
just wanted to ask others opinions for next time. This thread is currently associated with: Walmart

and Refill pack is $8.12 and i got that free .
But with taxes on both items i paid $20.88Last edited by moon18; Mon, Jun 11th, 2012 at 09:02 PM.

I'm sorry about your bad experience at Walmart.
Unfortunately, at Walmart you have to pay taxes on FPC (excl. items which don't have taxes on that, food, for example) (or unless it's not an FPC from a complaint).
That's why when I have an FPC, I prefer shopping at a Shoppers Drug Mart. Though even there sometimes you have to pay taxes as well.Last edited by Mia; Mon, Jun 11th, 2012 at 10:42 PM.
