Went to CT both Friday and Saturday. Was lucky to get 6 cards with 5 bucks off, the rest was Armoral, so got two bottles.
I got 2 packs of 24 double rolls of Charmin (had a 1 dollar off coupon for each one, making each pack 5.19 cents - less than 22 cents a roll - I usually consider 25 cents a roll to be a good sale so this is even better)
Got 2 resolve and 1 palmolive (used a 2 dollar coupon for resolve - paid 92 cents) *** initially attempted to buy 3 and use two coupons and then my 5 dollar coupon and the cashier said no even called the manager - they don't understand the one per purchase thing and consider that to be one per transaction grrrrrr!
Got 9 packs of spices (3 per transaction) **never thought to get them before, paid 47 cents, 82 cents and 47 cents = 1.76 cents for all 9 packs.
Oh and the most interesting piece we went to customer service with the Armoral cards (thanks to the person posting the tape trick, never knew that!) And the cashier refused to scratch it without us purchasing something! She also said "oh it looks smudged - referring to the ever faint removal of the shinny stuff on the card so I could read the last few numbers....I just played dumb and said well I can't see what the prize is and she examined the card and said that she couldn't see what it was either and mentioned how a lady earlier that morning walked in with 8 cards all the same way a bit removed. *** First of all I would like to say that I specifically go with my husband or mom etc and we go in with one card each and go back to the car and get another card and go in again...then we may hit another CT or just go back again the next day....I have never and would never go in and bring a bunch with me at once as I think that sets off a red and ruins it for others. And this woman obviously ruined it for everyone who shops at that location!
Back to the scratch thing she stated:
I can't scratch it and then if you have a 5 dollar off you can't go back in the store and find something for 5 bucks....I was like huh? Since when? I said the card states clearly "no purchase necessary" , she replied "yup that's right , you can have stuff and if you have the Armoral card you don't have to buy that stuff" ...she went on to say she needs to scan an item before scratching....so there were lighters on the counter my husband reached behind me and pulled one out and said "okay scan this!" - My jaw dropped as I was totally shocked! So she did and scratched the card (which I knew would be armoral ) and then said okay you win the armoral and then my husband chirps in and states "great , yeah so we won't be buying that lighter now..." How stupid!
Anyways a bit of an annoying trip - another reason I only shop there during these events! This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by Luc; Mon, Jun 18th, 2012 at 02:12 AM.

Hey there, I found the tape trick thing under the deals tab with something in regards to CT scratch card June 15-16th , I went back trying to find it for you two but I am obviously blind now, either that or it is expired?
Basically someone went and scratched two cards showing the bar code numbers , and they said if you take some tape towards the end of the bar code and hold it up to the light you can faintly make out the numbers and then based on the post you can tell if you had a 5 dollar card or the other prize. Apparently people have been doing this for quite awhile and I just stumbled upon it. But it looks like some CT employees are figuring something is up....I think at some point if the card looks like its been tampered they may not accept it!
