Sherwood Park has three Shoppper's Drug Marts. Each are in different price zones. Product pricing is determined by the economic status of that neighborhood. (Or as the cashier put it 'poorer area lower prices'
Wye Rd. - Koolaid Jammers 1.99
Sherwood Park Mall - Koolaid Jammers 4.49
Yeah each store has in-store sales but if pricing is constantly lower at another store, I will drive the extra 5 minutes! This thread is currently associated with: N/AShhh.... I am saving money.

I have noticed a little bit of price difference with superstore too, however it has to do with nearby sales. The one at 137th ave and 127th street automatically price matches no frills, but the one on kingsway does not.

As an insider I knew this but I never thought to post it, sorry. The prices and products carried also vary from territory to territory and East vers West.
In Spruce Grove the prices at Rona & Home Depot (& all other banners) are higher than the same stores in the west side of Edmonton 10 min away!
So I shop in lower income areas. (Not ment to be mean/rude.)
This will not affect the prices posted in the banners weekly flyer but the flyers can & do vary greatly from one area in Canada to another.Last edited by Travelnut; Thu, Jun 7th, 2012 at 03:30 PM.

I thought that new locations were on the higher end but was still a little of a shocked. The closest one to me is probably the first one to be built in the Park but not does not mark down nearly as much.
I try to shop at multiple locations (as to not clear out shelves). A couple of the same products from here and a couple from there.Shhh.... I am saving money.

Sadly, the locations in the "poorer" neighbourhoods are also the ones where product and tearpad stocks are annihilated almost immediately.
You can still hear the doors unlocking at the Clareview Walmart at 7:02 AM on a Friday and the shelves are already cleared of any roll back mentioned in their flyers.

Claireview Walmart is bad for not having efficient stock on sale items.

Sometimes it works like that sometimes it does not.
Prices are higher where seniors live as they know that they can not manage to go to other areas. Captive audience basically.

I know...but it works the same if you live in a rural area if you do not have a car to make runs to Superstore, etc you are forced to buy at the local stores.

I actually prefer the one on Wye road. It is my fav. Glad to know it is the cheapest. Kool-aid Jammers are on sale at every Shoppers for Select Sundays and Mondays for $1.99 and then they usually go back up.

Noticed that NN flour is cheaper at RCSS kingsway, than other locations. (10kg sack)
