I am going to Las Vegas, end of January. We are getting a good deal on flight and hotel. Caesars Palace 3 nights 4 days for $470. Any suggestions as how not to spend a fortune while there?

I love Las Vegas. I spent a month there in July and another week there for Christmas! My favorite show is Peepshow - here's an online code for 50% off orchestra level seats:

    http://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/1...paign=peepshow
    1. Choose your date and click "Find Tickets".
    2. Enter your promotion code: 241TZOO in the "Offer code/password" box and click OK.
    3. Choose your seats on the map in Orchestra category 2 or 3 and continue with your ticket purchase.
    4. Select Will Call since you're Canadian

If you're looking for a family show, I also have the online code for discount Phantom tickets
    http://www.ticketmaster.com/Phantom-...npalazzoclient
    1. Select a performance date, click "Find Tickets."
    2. In the "Offer code/password" box enter a coupon code 99ZOO for Mezzanine seats and 50CONV for Orchestra/Golden Circle seats.
    3. Choose your seats on the map and complete the purchase of tickets.

A few more tips... you don't need to rent a car, you're right on the strip. You might want to check out Freemont Street at night. A bus fare costs $5 for 2 hours or $7 for 24 hours (assuming you're buying it at the strip).

Vegas has tons of tix4tonight discount ticket booths on the strip with discounts to buffet dinners and shows.

...and your hotel is pretty close to the Belagio Fountains. They have a fountain show with music every 15 minutes. The song is always different. It's free to watch and it's pretty cool.

Try the $20 sandwich trick upon check-in. Put a twenty dollar bill with your ID and ask if there are any uup-grades available. We did this and got a beautiful up-graded room for just the $20. There is a ton of free stuff to do in Vegas. Just walk the strip and go inside each hotel. They all have something different and free to see and do. Watch the volcano erupt at the Mirage, the Pirate Show at Treasure Island, and be sure to go to Freemont Street at night to see the awesome light show. There are coupons available everywhere for added discounts at other attractions. Google Vegas and free stuff to do.

I went to Vegas for the first time in Feb - I was lucky to have a co-worker who was very well versed in Vegas and all things Vegas.
As far as the shows are concerned... he advised me to NOT book tickets online and go instead to the Ticket places on the strip. What these guys basically do is they sell the seats no one bought for a fraction of their cost! For me it was almost %50 off a ticket to see Mystere (Cirque). When I looked at the map and saw we were in the nose bleed section I asked if I could pay a little more and get better seats... and was told that they couldn't but I was assured that no seat in the house was a bad seat.

Somehow when we entered someone asked me if we wanted to sit closer to the stage and we ended up in the second row! Awesome! So was the show, and sitting in nose bleed really would not have been that bad truthfully.

There really aren't many ways to save money except maybe the free light show at Mirage which is beautiful.

Something to try is the buffet at Belagio... a bit more then what you would pay at any other buffet $40 a person... but you have a vast assortment of high end gormet food, not like any other buffet you have been to. VERY VERY tasty!

Make sure you get a points card where ever you play. I did get enough points for a free gondola ride at Palazzo, but most importantly, I get offers to go back for 3 or 4 free nights and $100 credit to play! And before you think I spent a fortune... I didn't... (Of my budgeted $1500 spending money) I paid for 3 adults to see 2 shows, the buttet for the 3 of us, taxi to and from freemont, I gave $200 to my mom to play (it was her birthday) Paid for meals most days... and still came home with $500 in my account and $300 in my pocket! And yes a bit of luck did play into it. Every machine I touched gave me money and I'm not a big gambler, so I was hoping around from machine to machine... put in $20 take out 100 or 200 repeat... forever... never got old!

Good luck in Vegas and have a safe and fun trip!

Keep away from the time share offers. They offer you free tickets to a current show, saying it will only be an hour or two.It ends up being most of the day. They are not nice when you refuse their offer , you then have to go through an exit interview where someone else offers the same product to you . You are bused to the area with no way of leaving.Hope that helps. Also the Legends impersonators concert is amazing, also the roller coaster in New york New york is good too. Have fun

Play "My Vegas Slots" on facebook!!! It legitamately earns you freebies that you can choose & use in Vegas for shows, dinners & activities. We are going tomorrow for 6 days & it will cost the 4 of us $525 each which includes all food, lodging at Ceasars luxury room, 2 cirque shows, a rental car for 24 hours to venture off the strip, flights on Spirit (yes crowded but you can't beat the price for a 4 hour flight so we bear it!), and all fees & taxes!!! One of us is a gambler so the room is comp'd, but groupon offered up great deals for food, & My Vegas Slots helped with the shows & buffets.............if you'd like more info on how to travel to Vegas on the cheap, just ask me! I'm not a travel agent but I love to save people money!!! Vegas can be enjoyed for $500 per person easily!!

Get a Total Rewards card & an MLife card........both can be gotten online before going, or at the resorts upon arrival.
Don't fall for time share....Lori Rizzo above is right.......before I got smart, I got hooked & wasted a full day refusing a time share! Was horrible!
Plan your trip & use Groupon to buy meal vouchers.
    Play My Vegas Slots!!!
Go visit Ellis Island resort & casino behind Ballys!
