As many of you who have read my brag a few months ago:

    http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/285927-...l-baby-canada/

I was happy the first 2 months, when I lost all my 4th pregno weight + an extra 5 lbs; then when my body got used to the schedule, I gained all back +10lbs...weighting at 160+ I fell very unattractive. I'm 5'7"....

That was not the worse, my feet starts hurting due to the sudden weight gained. My joints are at their worse...and I must do something about it before I hit the 40 mark next April.

As a starter, I'm cutting down the sugar and carbs. I'm asian so rice is my biggest concern. I used splenda as a sweetener, and I feel a slight headache as I guff down the daily dose of my morning coffee.

I will update my progress in this post.

If you have any tips, please post it here.

    Thank-you.

Also, please support me through my new adventure...

Good luck; I wish you all the best in your weight loss journey

My own past successful weight loss makes me encourage all others who are going down this road to really anchor your eating around vegetables and fruits as well as legumes, nuts and eggs. All pack a terrific health benefit and are also more likely than processed foods to keep you feeling full and reduce the salt, preservatives and other sneaky food additives that can cause problems.

I also just want to warn you that the slight headache you mentioned could well be a reaction to the Splenda; diet sweeteners cause a similar, but much more severe, reaction in me. (I end up with piercing migraines if I consume a lot, but have had similar reactions at times when I have been accidentally served diet soft drinks and only had a small sip before I realized the error). I would suggest replacing sugar instead with a natural sweetener like stevia (almost no calories) or agave or honey (both have calories but a very sweet taste!). You can also transition and slowly cut the amount of natural sugars you use over time; your taste buds will slowly adapt to the change if you do it gradually so that you don't feel deprived. Your body will thank you for reducing the sugar, and also for keeping your diet as natural as possible!

Good luck once again, and all the best!!

Congrats on the new baby.. and on your new journey of life. may I recommend one thing.. myfitnesspal.. OMG this site is amazing. its a weight loss support group I started on nearly a month ago. you track everything you eat. including water. no lies. it keeps you honest. so far by literally sticking to exactly whats healthy. cutting out 99% of my sugar intake. 2 tsp per day now in my coffee/T (instead of like 5-10 cups per day) PLUS I drink appr. 30 oz of water a day IF i can. at least 8 oz. so far with only the food change i've lost 7 pounds. will be starting this week (today) my walking routine. hoping to go for 3-4 walks a week. plus adding in weights. i have severe back issues that really prompted me to do something to make my core stronger.
its not easy cutting out the foods you love. chocolate, chips, pop.. however I've incorporated healthier versions in which help. Skinny cow ice cream is now my chocolate indulgence. christie rice thing crackers. multigrain for my 'chip' s. its been easier than i thought. but i know i have a ways to go. anyway check out this site. its awesome. lots of support there. you name it it has it. you enter your info it keeps track for you how much you've lost as you enter your losses. it gives you boosts when you need them..
good luck! keep us updated. i will too

I agree with myfitnesspal, it's a great tool. Tracking is what makes me pay attention to what I'm eating. I'm off the wagon right now, but have to hop back on.

I have a friend in the US who is a fitness professional, trains people and makes diet plans for them. According to her, the battle of the bulge is about 80% diet, we have to eat properly to lose, no matter if you're exercising.

    Thank-you!

I've switched to Stevia....and gave away 200+ bags to FB, I wished I would buy a small amount to try out first before buying bulk like that.

    Thank-you.

I keep a journal, but will try out your website; it's much easier to track them online and get support than write it down.

    Thank-you.

With 3 + 1 (p/t bbsitting) kids it's hard to find time to eat healthy. I managed to wash & cut all the veggies/fruits/salads and bag them in the fridge after grocery shopping on sat/sun and have them ready to eat containers stored in the fridge.

Before I only walk on the days of garbage collection, but today I went for a 1-1.5 hours walk. 4K return plus 30 mins around Metro. It was hard getting up, but I did it; 5:30-7am...

Like everything an effort have to be made to accomplished your goal. And I hope to keep it up.
