Zellers no Longer accepting SPC Card??

I'm really kind of upset about that. I have an SPC Card because I'm in school (college) and it really has helped me save money. I don't know if it's just my zellers or what, but I went in to buy diapers today and asked, as usual, for the SPC Card discount, and cashier told me they no longer accept? Was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

I'm pretty sure I read that in the rules for their closing out sales.

It's not that they aren't "accepting" the OLD SPC card... it just expired on July 31st and now Zellers is not participating in the SPC card for the new year, which started on August 1. This is nothing new, stores leave and join the SPC Card list each year. (It also would not make sense for them to join again as most of their stores will be closing while the new SPC Card would still be valid..)

It makes sense for Zellers, when you sign up you are guaranteeing the year which they can't honour if they are shutting down
