Yesterday afternoon I went to the Windermere Walmart. I was planning on getting a whole bunch of things. As soon as the cashier saw that I had coupons she said she needed to call a CSM. She continued to tell me that they were only allowed to take 1 coupon per transaction. I said you mean 1 per product? She said no, that it was one per transaction and that she couldn't continue until the CSM came over. After almost 10 minutes of waiting the CSM finally came over and told her that no it was 1 per product BUT you can only use one of each coupon per transaction. So for example, I was planning on getting 4 yogurt, I had 4 coupons and the CSM told me that I was only allowed to use 1 of those coupons. I asked when your coupon policy had changed and she told me about 4 weeks ago. The CSM then told the cashier that she was voiding the transaction and the she would have to ring everything back in. By the time the cashier rang everything back in I had been in line for 45 minutes. It didn't help that the cashier seemed to be very inexperienced and really could use a lot more training.
I shop at both locations very frequently and I use a lot of coupons and this is the first I am hearing about this new change. None the less, I ended up putting half of the items back that I was planning to purchase and left very unhappy. We sister also ended up putting almost everything back that she was getting.
Has anyone else heard about there coupon policy changing. I did email Walmart's head office, as I find this new change extremely ridiculous. This thread is currently associated with: Walmart

I had to wait half an hour just because the csm had to look over everthing. count the coupons and match them to the products I bought. she never said anything about 1 coupon but sure gave me a headache. I have a feeling they are more jealous than anything else that we use coupons and they don't. I have had them ask me a number of times in the past as to where I got so many coupons or how I got them and how do we use them. They are amazed to see when you sometimes buy a buggy full of stuff and only pay cents cuz of the overage or u have coupons for most of the stuff. Every csm there seems to have their own rules there.

Hopefully with the new stores opening, life will be a little more easier shopping at walmart.

I have e-mailed WalMart Canada asking for a copy of the Canadian coupon policy about 4 weeks ago and I have yet to hear back from them!
The WalMart coupon policy that is posted on SC is from WalMart . com and it is an American policy.
