When I was at the hospital for our weekly appointments for my little one I added a few quarters to a couple of parking meters that had expired but didn't have tickets on them. Nothing worse then going n for an appointment and the DR is running late and then coming out to a $21 ticket.
I think everyone's RAOK are awesome.

You are my hero Lunamoth - I have to take my 18mo to the pediatric clinic at our local hospital for regular visits and there's nothing more irritating than coming back to your car where a ticket awaits because your time ran out (because the dr. got behind!).

WoW! Just came home to a beautiful RAOK from IMLN! It's been a rough day so far...your package put a huge smile on my face!!
Inside an empty Frosted Flakes box (with gas card form attached!) she included:
-a bag of snack size chocolate bars
-fruit gummies (my 3 year old has claimed these!)
-a bodycology cherry blossom gift set (it smells divine!)
-a book Mysterious by Nora Roberts (I haven't read this one yet!)
-train supplies -assorted size envelopes, paperclips & stamps
-mason jar lids (perfect timing! I've got a kitchen full of tomatoes to can tomorrow)
-and an envelope packed with some of my favorite coupons!!
I can't thank you enough! It absolutely made my day!!!

Our RAOK's this week so far:
-I've mailed out a couple of RAOKs to other SCers
-It's hot here (27 C and sunny) so for the past couple of days anytime we've been out we've been throwing the cooler full of frozen/cold bottles of water in the back of the car and have been handing them out to the roads crew working nearby. We drive past them at least twice a day, so as we pass either DH or I open the window and hand out water as we go by

Love the water bottle one! Genius!
I haven't done many particularly noteworthy ROAKs lately. I left out a couple bags for a local food drive and, since it seems to be fundraising season for all the schools and sports teams, i've been buying from every kid that knocks on my door (surprisingly a lot of kids actually) When it's chocolate - and usually it is - i always by a few and give one back to the kid. They're always so cute an polite!
I've also been giving up all my cans/bottles for the bottle drives that have been going through.....this one is partially sef serving though since we hate going to the bottle depot haha.

so question for all of you ladies - every year at christmas i buy a gift for toy mountain and have alway s intended on making this something i do with my boys every year. I'm now trying to decide if this is a good year to start or should i wait until next year. My son is 3 and i'm still not sure if he'll really understand or if this will just turn into a "my toy" temper tantrum in the middle of the mall. Anyone do this with their kids? any thoughts on when a good time to start would be?

Girls came to the door looking for bottles for their church fall camp. I just happen to have a big bag for them. Plus offered them a deluxe green bag to carry some extra's from our area. They were so happy to even have a strong bag to carry them home. Priceless!
