Hi all!!!
Just like my title thread ''What would you do if coupons stop existing(it will not happen thats a scenario).
I am thinking about how we save money, how the people in the tv show''like tlc extreme couponnner'' count for coupons for living...so example for me: I have maybe 5 more products in my grocerie cart with saving and coupon.
Do you count on coupon for living? Or you can be okaie with the good sales
And ANother question where is SHARKIE???I miss her posts

As I think about it compagny love to make coupons because they know we will be more agree of trying or purchase a product and not paid the full price...For exampleI think coupons are more sellors tools than the publicity.

I'd take a second job because my credit card bill would be several hundreds more a month :s
Must have a U.S. itunes account to choose a free product on Poshmark: New Accounts Only:
1) Download the app called Poshmark 2) While creating a new account, enter the invite code: JAAZH (it will be the last box to fill) 3) $10 in credit will added to your account (Shipping is $0.99 during your first day on the app!) Pick a product that is $9.00 or less and your total will be:$0.00

Well seeing as coupons are really rare in my town this year, i have to wait for good sales and just buy that way. We're ok with that but have to admit i sometimes feel guilty that i don't have a coupon to use at the same time.

It wouldn't affect me too much. I would buy a few more products that are 'no name', but at least 90% of my grocery cart is filled with things for which there generally aren't coupons. We clean with a steam mop, vinegar and baking soda and don't use smellies. We also don't use many personal care products and are happy with no-name soaps, etc. I would probably buy more stuff in bulk and go out of my way to hit a few more sales. Other than that, it'd be status quo.
Oh yes, and I wouldn't be as quick to try a "new" product as coupons + sales that make the deal a steal are the only reason I do so now....

Good question cath007.
I would do like I did in this brag
http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/314894-loblaws-brag-11-x-sockeye-salmon-cans-1-99-oop-canada/
- use up my points (like President's Choice points, Air Miles, Shopper's optimum points, HBC points)
- use Auto Cash (from the Loblaws stores gas bar)
- shop the sales
- look for pink stickers and rip and stick discounts on the products
- recycle walk for the Kellogg's boxes (cash for gas entries)
- recycle walk and use Stouffers rewards and Lean Cuisine rewards for store gift cards
- use Canadian Tire money

It wouldn't change much in how much money I save if coupons disappeared. Apart from TP and personal care products, coupons hardly exist for the whole foods I buy. I'd rely on sales more. Oh, and the optimum program at SDM.

Forgot a couple of other things.
- Use my CAA card. I get 10% off at Payless shoes. They also have Cineplex movie deals, sometimes.
- Use my library card. Hahaha. I once saw a offer where you get 10% off East Side Mario's if you show them your library card.

Well, I would be living in a life where I would sit at home bored.

But I think that I would just rely on price matches to save money.

Since April we cleaned out the pantry ( so to speak) of all processed stuff, so the coupons have not been as big a deal for me.
I try to shop the perimeter of the grocery store now, and I get very good deals PM for the lowest fruits and veg prices possible.
I like to have coupons for laundry soap, pet foods/treats, the personal care items for my DD like /makeup/body wash.
We would just reexamine wants vs needs closer if there were NO coupons at all, and sale prices would be the only ones I'd pay.

Well after crying a bit out of mourning for my precious coupons.... lol
I think my spending habits would change a bit but not too much. I wouldn't try as many new products as I do know and I wouldn't stockpile very much either (right now I try to stock up when there's a good sale that I can combine with a good coupon). I might opt for No Name products more too, depending on the sale price of brand names.

cath007, we went shopping yesterday and did not use one coupon.
The best deal was at RCSS. They have the yellow stickers right on the shelf when they are doing a Blow Out sale or discontinuing a product. We found IQ spray cleaner (like Greenworks-- environmentally friendly cleaner) for $6.99, reduced to $2.00/700 ml.
Tried it as soon as we got home and it smells good and cleans well too.
So that is what we are doing when we don't have a coupon to use.
