Is there going to be a regular Christmas package train?

im wondering the same, i usually do the christmas gift exchance every year but i havent seen any news of it so far?

From looking back at the earlier posts, I think there was only going to be the Christmas Advent Train.

just curiously so I'm informed enough to make the right decision.. how many xmas trains will there be (package wise) and what are the differences.

there will be 1 with 2 parts ..adult/child...I am working on it right now

I was talking about a christmas gift exchange,. not an advent train.
We do it every year usually, Secret Santa, we get a secret buddy a gift and reveal who we are in the gift.

I took part in the Secret Santa exchange last year as well.

Hollyquaiscer ran the Official SC Secret Santa exchange last year. I'm not sure if she's running it again this year.

Although only one pkg train can run at a time, with the exception of the advent train, as stated in the rules and guidelines, if there is enough interest and someone with the required "seniority" on the site that was willing to run a Christmas Exchange could that not happen?

I too read Jezebel's post and interpreted it the same as K8, and was disappointed when the preamble for trade rating excluded me. I dug around in some past threads and saw that a Christmas exchange/train usually ran separate and became ever hopeful.

The Official Sc Exchanges are exactly that and have nothing to do with the gift trains.....AmberLab prevously over saw those and they took place in the welcome lounge I believe ..but never in the train section as they are not trains they are exchanges....and C_mcarthur is correct if you are on and pkge train you can not partake in the SC Exchanges

I think the conversation began discussing an alternate train and turned into secret santa. I wasn't sure if people were talking about a Christmas pkg train or exchange initially. I was hoping for either or. Thanks for clarifying Jezebel and everyone else! I will make a mental note that exchange questions are for the Welcome thread.
