Hi I am making baby blankets for the pregnancy care center/women's shelter and could use baby yarn to make into baby blankets and thought maybe I would post on here if anyone has baby yarn kicking around that they don't need that I could turn into baby blankets. Even odds and ends are fine because I am just making individual squares with what ever colors I have and then I will put certain colors together and make cute baby blankets. Like for example-I could put different colors of pink together or different colors of blue together. I have a few balls but I could totally use more if there is any. Or if anyone knows where I can get a really incredible deal on yarn-please let me know! I want to have a few done before Christmas to give to the pregnancy care center. I will totally post pics of finished blankets as well. Thanks so much for at least reading this and if you have any suggestions please feel free to post!

That is so totally wonderful of you to do that. I'll take a look around, but don't think I have much in baby yarn. Around here, alot of people look around at yard sales and stuff, but it's kinda the wrong time of year for that. But super nice thing you are doing.

That is so nice of you, but I gave my mom all my wool.
Sometimes there are wool shops that will donate to you if they know what you are doing. Maybe you could give a few a call. It would be a good way for them to get rid of the single lot balls they have.

It's funny, cuz I am doing that too. I just learned how to knit from of all people, a man! My knitting is turning out well after three days of frusteration and swearing.
Walmart has big bags of factory ends for 5 bucks. It's enough to make a few baby blankets. That is what I bought.Remember that even though pets are here for such a short time they teach us things we would never be able to learn in many lifetimes on our own.
