Zellers Micmac

Can anyone comment on the sales at Zellers Micmac? I am wondering if its worth a trip. I am in the market for some baby clothes, bouncey chair for baby and double flannel sheets as well as the usual grocery and household items.

I was there on the weekend. Only 20-40% off. I would wait.

MicMac Zellers is closing on the 15th of Decemeber, the sales currently are pretty bad. WalMart still has better prices on the same things with the exception of some of their clearance clothes but really nothing to write home about. Once the toys goes lower it will be a sign to start shopping

I agree with HelenaZAE. I walked in and they had a greeter there. I said "Only 20-40%?" and they said "Yes." I replied "Well see you in 3 weeks time" and walked out.

Is it just me or is Zellers really taking their time marking things down? Don't all the stores have different closing dates? Just a theory, but I bet there won't be any great deals. I'm thinking they might sell their inventory as a whole to another retailer.

I was in there on Monday checking out ladies clothing and noticed racks of Bay clothes have been put in there too - for only having just over a month until closing there is lots of inventory left - time to mark down everything much faster

I noticed the same thing last week. The had Calvin Klein, etc in men's clothing......stuff Zellers NEVER had before. They must be bringing stuff in from The Bay like leftie said.

Is Dec 15 the last day it is open, or the first day it is closed? I am going to be in the city on the 15 and was wondering if it would be worth going over?

I think its 50-70% off now. They had Guess shoes from the bay on sale. I also got a bunch of yarn for 1.99 to make a baby blanket but there is still quite bit of stuff left

Do Zellers take coupons once they go into liquidation mode?

I don't think so, I tried a couple of weeks ago and was refused, but really they are supposed to be returned to the address on it to get reimbursed so I don't see why they won't. I'm not sure if it was policy or the cashier and it was too busy to push it for $.50.
