Lap 1 GREEN FL&G: The race gets under way at 1:47 p.m. ET. Jimmie Johnson and Brian Vickers bang doors in Turns 1 and 2.

Lap 8 Jimmie Johnson leads Brian Vickers by a couple of car lengths.

Lap 17 Jeff Gordon blows past Denny Hamlin for fifth place.
Lap 14 Denny Hamlin, Clint Bowyer and Jeff Gordon all get past Jeff Burton for position, dropping Burton back to seventh place.


Lap 13 After getting caught out of line earlier, Paul Menard appears to have settled into ninth place.

Lap 24 Dale Earnhardt Jr., making his return to racing after a couple of weeks off, has worked his way into 10th place.
Lap 22 Jimmie Johnson's cushion over Brian Vickers has grown to more than 8/10ths of a second.


Lap 19 Kevin Harvick is struggling early on. He's dropped back to 23rd, and has damage on the left-rear quarter panel.

Lap 31 Kyle Busch says that his car is loose.
Lap 29 Clint Bowyer and Denny Hamlin have also passed Kyle Busch for position, dropping Busch out of the top five.


Lap 27 Jeff Gordon has picked his way past Kyle Busch for third place.

Lap 44 Jeff Gordon is closing on teammate Jimmie Johnson for the top spot. They're now within a second of each other.

Lap 50 Denny Hamlin has been penalized for speeding on pit road! He'll start from the rear of the field.
Lap 48 The leaders are on pit road.


Lap 46 The caution is a huge break for Brad Keselowski, who wasn't far from going a lap down.

Lap 52 GREEN FL&G: Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer and Brian Vickers are the leaders on the restart. Johnson clears for the lead in Turn 2.
