They had a kiosk set-up at Costco offering an amazing promotion: 6 months telephone homeline and internet for $36/month and then $56/month after the 6 months, no installation fees, no contract. Almost seems too good to be true. Just wondering if anyone is dealing with them currently or taking part in this promotion!
    Thanks in advance!!

DONT DO IT.... Long story short signed up for the home phone and internet. After two weeks no internet or phone line. Cancelled and for 3 months continued receiving bills even though I had no active account or services. Multiple emails and 40 calls later and my account was finally cancelled. They adjusted the 600 dollar invoice and told me to keep that as my proof ( they refused to send a cancellation letter).

Funny thing a manager was suppose to call within 48 hours of my original message. She called me 3 days after my last call and was telling me the reason I had no internet connection was for the fact that my account is past due with over $500 in billing and the new month added. I told her some good words and she then offered me 2 months free internet for my troubles.

After all of that, I would rather deal with Bell or Rogers.

Just to clarify - you were with them and things were fine for a period of time before it went down for 2 weeks? How long did you have it before it went down?

    Your response is very confusing

Sorry Kraze.... I was a customer for 2 weeks and never got any service. I called to sign up and they did the credit check, all was fine and they had someone out 2 or 3 days later. Multiple calls and visits and no one could get anything working.

So I cancelled and sent them back the router for the internet. They charged me for the router even though I sent it back and billed me for services I never received from them.

Primus sucks. We tried a few years ago. Same story. A month no service till we cancelled. Big time scams.

Where are you located? How do you feel about voip?

If you don't want voip, check out worldline. If voip is ok, check out fongo home phone. Or consider dropping the land line altogether and just going mobile. For internet, check out worldline (dsl only), teksavvy, or acanac. You'll get great service with any of those companies, and great prices.

Primus has been great for me. I have the bundle package. If you download/upload a lot, the plan very beneficial as there is no monthly limit. Also, the plan includes free long distance (North America) phone calls.
