Hi all, copied and pasted this from SDM's FB page a while ago...
"Do have any camera savvy people on your list? Or are you looking to upgrade your digital camera for a vacation in the New Year? Now is the perfect opportunity! Check out our selection of Cannon camera’s! In an array of awesome colors you’ll not only satisfy the shutter bug but also get points too!"
My subject line is not sarcastic...are there actually people who get paid for putting out material like this???
People, don't rely on spell check--it is FAR from perfect!!
SDM...have someone check your posts for accuracy before you send them out.
I'm sure the good people who make CANON cameras would have appreciated this.
At any rate, it has started quite a debate on their FB page...thought I would share it here!!This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

I would probably be more offended that they're trying to sell me a camera based on colour, though I would notice the spelling error first (as well as the misplaced apostrophe and lack of commas).
Either way, I guess their marketing department passes me by yet again.

I am shocked how many people coming to sdm's defense. Saying its just a mistake and no one is perfect. No. it's more like 5 mistakes in a sentence or two. I dont care how many mistakes are made on a forum (for example, my not having an apostrophe on the word dont because my swype on my phone defaulted to it....) But this is a big company. Spelling another company name wrong, and various other typos.... Its more than just someone missing their morning coffee.and for the record, I couldn't care less that some people can't spell. Ok... I mean no one is perfect... That Doesn't bother me.... But those people shouldn't head up the sdm social media promotions.
Edit: I just noticed my various typos now that I am looking at them on a computer. Maybe that's the issue! SDM posts promos from a smartphone with horrible auto-correct / swype functions. I am just waiting for the day they mistype 'shooters' for shoppers.Last edited by stevstevd; Fri, Dec 7th, 2012 at 09:55 AM.

I think they've made it more than painfully clear that they really don't care two hoots about what their customers think. Maybe this is their subtle way of expressing it yet again.

Anyways, I try to stay away from their FB page entirely. If I wanted drama, I'd watch Jersey Shore or whatever it's been replaced with. Not that I ever do, of course...
I'm stocked up with drama since Christmas is coming!
