As I enjoy having conversations with myself LOL (where is everyone?)

Mini buddy your package is supposed to be delivered today, however it took a possible slight detour at Kitchener at 3:33am this morning, so maybe tomorrow.....

Tricky - if you can make some of his dietary needs and still cover the basics of the normal feast to cover both bases OR farm out the basics to family members and you can focus on your BIL's dietary needs. So Mom is in charge of turkey, brother the....stuffing, sister one of the desserts...and then you aren't up to your eyeballs and still able to enjoy the day too W

Day 19 - Much much needed disposable icing bags, in the giant size! My old Wilton bags are small, and really are in rough shape, so good to have these on hand. Thanks JJ!

Congrats on the mixer under the tree! I have the Cuisinart stand mixer (named Bentley.. as I consider him the "Rolls Royce" of mixers) and love it.. my parents had won some money in the lottery 2 yrs ago and for Christmas each of us girls got a cheque for $10,000. This was the only thing I bought with it! It was such a toss up between the Kitchen Aid & the Cuisinart, but went with Bentley as he had the more powerful motor! Vrooom, vroom... Best gift I ever got myself!

Ok... on a side note, I have a question for you girls... I am hosting Christmas dinner for the family (13) as usual. My BIL was diagnosed with kidney disease in the spring, and has been on dialysis since May, and has been on the transplant list. He now has been removed from the transplant list as he found out yesterday he needs a quadruple bypass. I have offered to make a dinner that accommodates the dietary do's and dont's for both conditions, but my sister insists they want to "enjoy" Christmas. However, I'm still feeling guilty if I make the usual fattening & non-healthy stuff. I think the "enjoy" is part of what has got them to this place now.. What would you do if you were me, make the usual? Or make something you know if better for him? This will be everyone's second "Christmas" as they all have atleast one other get together...

Yaaa! Hope the girls like the book it is one of my favourites!

Glad you got it! Tracking still says its in Kitchener! Now if only the other 2 packages I sent would make it to their destinations.

One is heading to cowgirlmama - the second part of day 25 expected delivery is the 21st

the other is to my cousin and hubby in England, we mail on November 13th by surface with tracking and all it says is it left Canada on November 23rd -not very helpful. Really hoping it gets there before Friday as they gong out of town on Saturday for Christmas. I also mailed a package to my friend (also in England, but without tracking) at the same time and they got it last week! *sigh* maybe everyone can cross their fingers that it arrives on time for me!

Thanks everyone for the comments... I know in the end it's not up to me to make the right choices for my sister & BIL.. but I still feel some sort of responsibility to provide the "right" foods... I guess I'll likely be making a bit of both, and let them decide which they choose to eat.. Even if I can't steer them in the right direction, I can feel better knowing at least the options were available...
