Binge Buying Emergency Questions - Part 2

Continuation of thread started yesterday about asking yourself questions before buying a product or service. Let's continue to discuss.

5 - Will my life be dramatically (negatively) impacted if I don’t buy this?

6 - How will I feel about this item one month from now? A year from now?

7 - Will I have to go without something I need more if I buy this?

8 - Am I buying this only because it’s on sale?

9 - Would I buy this if I had to pay cash?

There are quite a few things in my house that wouldn't be there if I had asked a couple of these questions:

* my life wasn't dramatically impacted if I hadn't bought it.
* I bought it on sale (or with a coupon).
* I know how I feel about them now. They were impulse purchases that are now just clutter.

I agree that most of these questions should be asked before major purchases. That being said, I try to never suffer from buyer's remorse. When I go shopping I usually have the money to support the purchases that I'm making.
