Today is, National Opposite Day! Don't celebrate National Opposite Day. So don't celebrate by doing the opposite of what you mean to do and saying the opposite of what you mean to say.
Then again, if you don't want to do something you shouldn't do just because it's the opposite of what you should do, then consider what you don't want to do the thing that you do want to do; then you won't do what you don't want to do and you will do what you do want to do and everything should work out fine.
    Sounds about right!

Can you imagine being able to take your records to enjoy on a long road trip. I think you would need an DJ - assistant with you to keep the tunes playing.
Do you need to be exta careful on bumpy roads? What happens if the record skips? Don't you just love technology?

trying to grow sweet potatoes. heard that you can grow them in Canada at least for some salad greens because the leaves are edible since a lot of places in Canada are not hot enough for long enough to grow them for the actual potato. you can apparently grow them for a nice houseplant inside too and nibble on the leaves I would think. apparently all you do is take a chunk of sweet potato and put it in water till "slips" grow and then plant the slips! so I am doing that. wish me luck!

Good morning....off to the mountain soon. Has been one terrific weekend there with conditions improving daily. An added bonus of Mr Sun today. The best weekend of 2013 so far!

Today is, National Kazoo Day! Alabama Vest (a man, not a clothing outfitter) first invented this delightful-sounding, easy to play instrument in Macon, Georgia in the 1840's.

Today is, National Puzzle Day! John Spilsbury, a London engraver and mapmaker, produced the first jigsaw puzzle around 1760 by mounting one of his maps on a sheet of hardwood and cutting around the borders of the countries to create interlocking pieces. Since then, puzzles have become an educational tool, a family pastime, and an ideal secret Santa gift if you don't really know the person you're supposed to buy for.

I`m puzzled why the school buses are again cancelled but I`m still forced to w*rk.

Three old ladies were sitting side by side in their retirement home in Cape Coral reminiscing. The first lady recalled shopping at the green grocers and demonstrated with her hands, the length and thickness of a cucumber she could buy for a penny.

The second old lady nodded, adding that onions used to be much bigger and cheaper also, and demonstrated the size of two big onions she could buy for a penny a piece.

The third old lady remarked, 'I can't hear a word you're saying, but I remember the guy you're talking about.

I am puzzled how a jigsaw can make such nice curved cuts.
