A gynecologist became fed up with malpractice insurance and paperwork, and was burned out. Hoping to try another career where skillful hands would be beneficial, he decided to become a mechanic. He went to the local technical college, signed up for evening classes, attended diligently, and learned all he could, and became an excellent automobile mechanic.

When the time for a practical exam on rebuilding an engine approached, the gynecologist prepared carefully for weeks, and completed the exam with tremendous skill. When the results came back, he was surprised to find that he had obtained a score of 150%. Fearing an error, he called the Instructor, saying, "I don't want to appear ungrateful for such an outstanding result, but I wonder if there is an error in my grade?"

"The instructor said, "During the exam, you took the engine apart perfectly, which was worth 50% of the total score. You put the engine back together again perfectly, which was also worth 50% of the score."

After a pause, the instructor added, "I gave you an extra 50% because you did it all through the exhaust pipe, which I've never seen done in my entire career!”

This national day encourages you to put that useless fondue pot you were given on some anniversary or birthday to its proper use: melting down bits of chocolate and sharing it with friends. Chop up some apples, dangle a few cherries or get savory with some pretzels. That's right, fondue is not just for cheese anymore!

brunette were watching the 11 o'clock news. The news
was about a man about ready to jump off a bridge.

The brunette turns to the blonde and says, "I bet you $50 the man
is going to jump."

The blonde replies, "Okay you're on."

Sure enough, the man jumps, and the blonde gives the brunette
$50.

The brunette says, "Listen, I can't accept this money. I watched
the 5 o'clock news and saw the man jump then."

"No, you have to take it," says the blonde. "I watched the 5
o'clock news too, but I didn't think he would do it again."
