Peachy (and the rest of you SOA fans..), I had a dream on the weekend that SOA was filming in my town. Somehow I landed a job in their "office" so I got to know all of them really well. And then Jax and Juice were fighting over me because they both wanted to date me. LOL (I'll assume I was single in my dream, but shhhh don't tell hubby!)

So, we decided that it's time for mommy to get back in to the workforce. Since I'll be looking for a new job, it's time to get looking. Don is checking out a daycare that's next to his new office (they just moved last week). It looks nice, but so old! She's only 3 months! I know though that I will be a better mommy to her if I am working. Mentally, i dunno how long I'm going to be able to last. Plus, it's going to take me some time to find a new job and to find daycare. We're going tk be exploring the nanny option too...she's so young!

Any tips for finding a day care you trust? I checked out the province's report cards on some of the daycares in my area and I saw 96% and crossed them off my list lol. Even though none of them scored 100%!
Suggestions?

Have any of you tried any of the cauliflower recipes - like for potatoes, or a crust?

I have made the tater tots and another one with cheese that is like a mashed potatoe both surprisingly good!..I thru it in the food processer though would not have the patience to grate! Funny you should mention it I have two big heads in the fridge I have been planning to pinterest!!!

Jody - I love you right now. I got home, and have been dealing with a baby who is perfectly good today, just has a very tired and not so psychologically good mommy today. (We had gone out to meet daddy for lunch at his work and then did some coupon shopping). I apparently walked right by the package from you when I got home! The mail man tucked it between then recyclimg box and the house ans I must not have been paying attention. Then I read your post and thought "wtf, canada post lied to her"...nope? I'm just dumb and stunned today!

I am in love...first thing I saw when I opened my package was a sleeper for Alexa....covered with BUNNIES! !! Hahaha - soooo perfect since that's her nickname! Love ♥

Between that and the peanut m&m's that have now been devoured and are pooling somewhere between my thighs and my muffin top, we received:
Ice cream scoop (much needed)
drinking Straws (ditto)
Hilarious his and her suckers (lips and a stach)
Bubble bath (love this scent)
Note cards
2 super cute (and very much our style) photo frames that say "daddy and me" and "mommy and me"
Lots of chocolates and candies - my sweettooth thanks you....my a$$...well that's a different story!

Froggy bag clips! ! Hilarious!
Dish clothes (so needed! Thank you! I'm so sick of our ratty ones and these are perfect)
Decaf english breakfast tea pyramids (love my tea! )
Timmies K Cups! !! Woohoo! Don's been bugging me for these and I always forget when im in the drivethru! Now we can try them out!

No school here again today in part of southern manitoba. Was canceled Friday due to weather and today is a PD day. I think it was a conspiracy to cancel Friday so that the teachers got a 4 day weekend.

4 day weekend I wish! Most teachers don't like PD days. At least I don't! Many would rather be teaching than sitting through meetings that only occasionally connect with their teaching and students. As for snow days, teachers are supposed to still go in to school, except if you're like me and you live an hour away. I work from home, and have to have a paper trail to show what I accomplished.

I can't speak for all teachers, but I can't stand disruptions to my teaching! Last week there were 2 snow days. This week I'm at 2 inservices at our board office, and then at another inservice next week. Plus a PD day, winter carnival day, and a school trip. This means out of 15 teaching days I only see my students for 7 days in class . Yet the amount of work/curriculum expectations to cover with my students doesn't change. Oh well...I shouldn't complain, I do love my job. Like others' jobs, things at times can just seem pretty challenging.
