I'm a newbie so please be patient if this has been asked recently. I searched the forums but couldn't find an updated coupon policy for Walmart in Ontario. Google only wanted me to find walmart.com.

Does Walmart take printable coupons? What other stores in Ontario take them? I noticed on Metro's website that it's a no, and Freshco seems to say no as well but what about Food Basics, No Frills, Great Canadian Superstore. Giant Tiger, Shoppers Drug Mart? I'm in London Ontario so any help to make it smoother in the stores are totally appreciated.

What are the best stores to do coupons at? Is it Walmart since they have a good price match policy?

Also, since I'm asking questions, what does "wup" mean?

Thanks for your patience. I've already learned a lot in the last 2 weeks I've been couponing. I'm still far away from trading I think or using a train, but I'm starting!

I believe there is no 'official' policy in Canada, though some here have gotten access to something used at the store level. They do take printed coupons. Freshco DOES take them (now), in my experience it's pretty much just Metro that won't take them.

In my personal experience Walmart can be not so great with coupons, BUT it really depends on the cashier. Many have had positive experiences. Ultimately as long as you are using them legitimately the worst they can do is take an extra long time to scrutinize. Walmart technically offers overage but I've had cashiers fight me on it there.

wup = when you purchase (same as wub = when you buy)
