Great idea to keep young ones occupied in the car! Put letters on stickers and on a paper towel roll and then your child can match the letters.

Melt down crayon pieces and pour into glue stick containers to harden. Big crayons that can be twisted up as they are used

Rewarding kids with things they get to do instead of things they get to have. When they do something good, they pick from the jar and get things like to stay up a little later or play outside a little longer etc.

For all of the parents/caregivers who have spent tons of cash on moonsand!! mix together 4 cups sand, 2 cups cornflour, and 1 cup of water.

Bouncing bubbles...bubbles that don't pop!

Thing you need:

1 C distilled drinking water
1 Tablespoon dish soap
1 Teaspoon of glycerin (I ordered mine online)
straw (this is just what I chose to blow the bubbles with, Im assuming you can use a typical bubble wand)
1 clean glove (or sock) - (this is to keep the bubble from popping)


MIX ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER AND LET SIT FOR 24 HOURS

Recipe:

1 1/2 Cup water

2 Cups Baking Soda

1 Cup Cornstarch

Mix together, bring to a boil, dump onto a piece of wax paper, and add coloring.

Write sight words in a colored craft stick. Write Zapp It on some too. Children pull a stuck out one at a time and read the sight word. If they pull a zap it stick ALL the sticks go back in the container and the game starts again! http://i.imgur.com/Gy33V.jpg
