We went to visit Grandma this morning, and a guy in the elevator suggested we take the kids to feed the birds at RBG. He says the chickadees will come right into your hand, that would be so cute but I doubt any bird with half a brain would come to my kids they would have to sit still and quiet..... not gonna happen lol

So, my beautiful province BC, has been wishing wistfully for years to have a family day holiday. We didn't have on for the LONGEST time.
Then finally our premier granted us Family Day, (YAY), BUT not the same day as the rest of the country (WTF?!?). It was LAST Monday, on the 11th. So none of the specials apply to us because my daughter had to go to school today and there was nothing on special last Monday, LOL. At least I can do some online shopping, LOL. What gives?
I shouldn't complain, a day off is a day off.
On the bright side, I'm feeling SOOO much better. Wowee. I don't think I'd wish this illness upon my worst enemy. Seriously.

ME too!
I do have to say, I will miss just lying around in bed, not having to worry about cooking, feeding children, changing diapers, cleaning, etc. LOL And my hubby did a great job of taking care of me, LOL.
I might just have to be "ill" for one more day .... LOL

You are right. I was only "pampered" because it was the weekend. DH was back to work today, but he told me he was picking up dinner on the way home, so I'm glad that's taken care of. I just have to keep my two kids alive until he's home, LOL

I was at work today while everyone else observed the holiday....but that is ok! I am used to it so it doesn't bother me anymore! It was nice that my husband was able to spend time with the kids today.
