Morning, not much new here.... kids are home ill (both have cramps), I have about 6 sets of taxes to do, 3 episodes of Coronation Street to watch, 3 more episodes of Downton Abbey, and some trains to stuff.
I still haven't gotten the pantaloons, hoping to this weekend.
Hope everyone is having a better day today... it's been quiet in here.

As many of you know I have been having trouble with my landlady recently & that she raised the rent but didn't give us the proper notice. Today is the day when according to the her/the other owners the rent goes up. A majority of us decided that we weren't going to pay it. Anyways this little beauty was on our door yesterday (not put up by me)! The landlady has since taken it down. Should be an interesting day today.

Well, A and I are surprising daddy's work today bt showing up at Horseshoe Valley (localish ski resort where they're doing an ee ski day). We were planning on going, then not (because the office mgr said it may ruffle feathers since others were told they couldn't bring their wives). Don got on the bus this morning though and everyone asked where we were. So he's decided he's going to deal with any fallout of us showing up. His boss's wife is always at these "employee" events, yet he doesn't understand wht people don't want to go to things when THEY'RE not allowed to bring their spouses. Especially on the evening/wknd things.
So don said to meet them up there. 2 of tge admin girls are pregnant so can't ski etc and offered to watch aAlexa so I can ski. Woohoo!
Sooooo....skiing today it is!

Made it to the indoor playground safely. It is super icy on the sidewalks. The way to school was terrible as its uphill! Could walk on the snow because I had the stroller. Only fell 3 times which sadly doesn't include me wiping out on the kitchen floor. Came to get the stroller, so still had my boots on which were wet on the bottom, so apparently wet boots + my kitchen floor = no grip. Fell really hard on my butt & left hand/wrist, it's sore now. And I also took down 1 glass & 2 plates which of course broke.

I'm here! Will try and be chatty in between clients and phone calls.... Dead tired.. up at 3am to use the facilities, awake until 4am, start to dose off then BF gets up with the cat, and to get ready for work. Garbage day today and I don't know what the H$#% got into him, but he was like a bull in the china shop unloading the dishwasher. I actually got up to see if he had his ipod on, and didn't realize how loud he was. Nope.. just in a hurry... (Like he couldn't have done that stuff on his day off, of the last two afternoons when he got home at noon???) Arghhh. Not like I get much sleep anyways... but the 4-7am is usually on again, off again... today, just OFF.
Sooooo tired... on a good note, I have the weekend off so will be doing a major shop for my buddy, and hopefully find the necessary items to make up the craft I finally thought of... Wish me luck!

Hope you are OK - what a rough morning!!
Nicki B - I hate waking up to pee that time of the night - I am usually done or wake up 50 million times.... props to dbf for trying?
BUDDY.... 2 items arrived for you today - one most wanted and one I went out on a limb on because it's so cute. My box from Well.ca arrived Tues. so things are coming together nicely. My kids are also workng on a unique project for your family - I think it's amazing and I hope you do to... sometimes these things are better than the bought things.
I have 3 tax returns done and filed, mine and hubby's almost done - I have to go get my prescription receipt and a few others but the good news is we will be able to afford a puppy lol! We were hoping part of the tax return would cover it and we wouldn't have to scramble lol
Oldest DD just came up to me with a blanket cape on and said in a low voice (talking about her sister) 'She thinks she is the only person who can rock a cape but I know I can too'
I started laughing of course so other dd came out to see why - so we told her and she said She does rock a blanket cape the best and that 'the queen of england would come up to me and say damn you be wearin' that cape fine'
I don't have the heart to tell them that it is ARMYGIRL who rocks the cape.Last edited by bluzsuz; Fri, Mar 1st, 2013 at 12:31 PM.
